There is an undeniable strength in deciding to do what you know is right, even though it may be mocked. There is always this image of a young, delicate woman in my head, almost a child, encountering all these situations, having to be brazen even though she may be belittled, mocked, laughed at for having opinions, for thinking she can change the world.
About Catalysts
Catalysts is a collection of original mixed-media works created in response to stories written by Canadian women for the anthology The Fires We Lit. Each piece began as an encounter with another person’s words and became an independent visual reflection on what remained.
