I was drawn to the vulnerability of admitting that we can feel insecure or insufficient, our lives sometimes carried along by the choices and expectations of others. There is freedom in beginning to ask what we find comfortable, beautiful or desirable—and in imagining a life in which our own answer might finally be enough.
About Catalysts
Catalysts is a collection of original mixed-media works created in response to stories written by Canadian women for the anthology The Fires We Lit. Each piece began as an encounter with another person’s words and became an independent visual reflection on what remained.
