There is something deeply moving about imagining an ancestor working beside you—offering answers, passing down wisdom, carrying you forward. I kept returning to the thought that so much of the richness we need already lies beneath our feet: stories held by the earth, an inheritance of immeasurable value, and a treasure worth protecting.
About Catalysts
Catalysts is a collection of original mixed-media works created in response to stories written by Canadian women for the anthology The Fires We Lit. Each piece began as an encounter with another person’s words and became an independent visual reflection on what remained.
