I kept thinking about grace, fearlessness and complete attunement to one another. It brought to mind a murmuration of starlings: delicate individual bodies becoming something colossal as they move in synchrony. Ominous, unpredictable, inevitable and powerful—they become, together, the ultimate shapeshifters.
About Catalysts
Catalysts is a collection of original mixed-media works created in response to stories written by Canadian women for the anthology The Fires We Lit. Each piece began as an encounter with another person’s words and became an independent visual reflection on what remained.
